IN THE CENTRE

Classes & Activities

Our weekly programme offers a range of activities for members to choose from including Exercise, Line Dancing and Art & Crafts. We are also able to offer blocks of classes over the year including Photography and Beauty Therapies.  Additionally, members run a number of activities themselves including Carpet Bowls and a Reminiscence group. Classes are informal and (typically) do not require weekly attendance.

Café

The Café is the social hub of The Senior Centre with members making new friends, meeting for a catch ups or grabbing a bite to eat after class. We provide a varied menu with fresh food being prepared on the premises daily, serving everything from three course meals to a cuppa and a scone.

Information & Support

With information sessions and visits from local and national partners, members have access to a variety of information and support in the Centre. Recent topics have included discussions on pension credit, smart meters, wills and power of attorney, from partners such as Cassiltoun Housing Association, NHS Equalities Team, Solicitors for Older People Scotland and more.

Minibus

Our accessible minibus picks up members from the local area, bring them to and taking them home after their visit. The bus also enables members unable to access the coach to join us on day trips and takes our photography class out and about too.
