The staff team is supported by a large group of committed volunteers who assist in many roles throughout the centre including reception, waitressing and helping in the kitchen. A 35-strong team dedicate their time and effort to serving the over 55s of Castlemilk and the community itself.

In the summer of 2016, the volunteers of The Senior Centre were awarded with The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service after being nominated by Lord Provost Sadie Docherty for their efforts. Margaret and John Millmaker, Treasurer of the Board of Trustees and a volunteer, were invited to a tea party with the Queen at Holyrood Palace, Edinburgh. Following this, staff and volunteers collected their award at a special event hosted in Glasgow City Chambers by the Lord Provost at the end of August.
